Description

United Nations is a group formed at Berklee College of Music including artists from USA, Israel and Poland.  Everyone is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree and are all professional musicians in their own right. United Nations is about community – coming together from various backgrounds and nationalities to make music. We are sharing something democratic and veritable through intense trust with ourselves and the music. We are influenced by traditional as well as contemporary jazz and other world music. Gonn Shani won the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Award for Jazz 2018, Alec was named the recipient of the Los Angeles Music Center’s Spotlight Jazz Instrumental Award, where he played an original composition at Disney Hall. He was recently featured as an emerging artist as part of Jazz Appreciation Week. Brian from New Orleans is ASCAP Louis Prima Award and National Young Arts Winner. Daniel from Warsaw is Laureate of many competitions and concerts with legendary musicians in his country and in US, and his style defines as post-bop, modern and acid jazz. Ori won the “Umbria Jazz Festival” youth competition 2019 and the “Red Sea Jazz Festival” youth competition in 2013-16. Roy played in festivals like JEN (New Orleans and Dallas), Cambridge Jazz festival (MA), and The Red Sea Jazz Festival (Israel).
